Write Quality Articles if you want your Articles Published

Writing quality articles is a great way to attract more traffic to your Web site. There are numerous other techniques, of course, but they can mount up your out-of-pocket costs. Writing and submitting articles actually falls under the category of PR and publicity, but whatever you refer to it as, articles that you write and submit can be a free or low-cost method of attracting important e-business. Here are some important considerations.

1. Know who you are writing for

It's very important to know your target audience. The subject must address the interest of your readers. And the copy must have the right tone for the audience is well. You need to know whether you should be formal, casual or business oriented. You should resist any impulse to get overly wordy and use all those big words most people don't understand. The exception is in technical writing, where all those big words are absolutely required to convey the thoughts. As a general rule, keep it simple and straightforward.

4. Don't get carried away with slang or jargon

Slang and jargon tend to be regional and easily misunderstood by people from other places. It's a better idea to keep your language at the level that's most suited to the majority of your audience.

5. Use proper sentence structure

The proper syntax makes a difference to readability and comprehension. If you are a professional writer, you already understand this. Granted, people from different geographical areas have different accents and ways of expressing themselves, but you will be well advised to keep your copy as straightforward as you can.

6. Don't get carried away with long sentences

Anyone who has worked as an editor can tell you that this is the biggest sin they come across. There are those who write sentences so long that they can't read them aloud without pausing to tare a breath. Overly-long sentences make readability difficult. Use short sentences and don't forget punctuation marks exist for a good reason, because they can change meanings and provide important pauses. If you can convey a single idea in five or six word, don't use fifteen.

7. Don't change words

There are many words that just can't be changed from their dictionary form, so don't try. For example, you can't really modify the word "unique" by adding very in front of it. There are no degrees of uniqueness.

8. Try to use comparative suffixes

Like ('est) It's better, for example, to say happiest instead of "more happy", prettier instead of more pretty.

It's worth saying a few words about the importance of how you market articles you write. Articles are a great way to promote your website and get extra exposure for your products and services. You can submit them to online publishers like e-Zines and others. However, you will get few, if any, accepted for publication unless they are properly written. Top Profitable Ways to Use Autoresponders

Autoresponders are remarkable, versatile programs that do so much more than just automatically answer your email.

Here are a few ideas that will help you to creatively and productively use your autoresponder to transform the casual visitor into a profitable customer. Use your autoresponder to:

1. Publish a newsletter. Certain quality autoresponders will manage subscriptions and follow-up with interested prospects.

Your newsletter can keep your visitors informed about your services or products, while building your reputation as a credible expert in your particular business.

2. Publish a newsletter only for your affiliates. Inform them of current sales you are running and of promotional material that your affiliates can use themselves to increase their commissions.

Include tips, advice, and techniques that your affiliates can use to successfully go out and promote your business.

3. Write reviews. Cover books, software, music, e-books, movies, etc., and put each review in an autoresponder. Review your affiliate programs, using a link to your affiliate's page in your autoresponder.

4. Distribute your articles. Writing and distributing targeted articles is a powerful tool to build your business credibility, bring traffic to your site, and increase your sales potential.

For example, if you're selling a particular product, put testimonials about how spectacular it is on your autoresponder, and add a detailed, enticing description of your product.

7. Distribute advertising. Let's say you sell advertising on your website or in your newsletter or e-zine. Set your autoresponder to send the information about rates and how to place an ad automatically to all prospects' email addresses.

Then have your autoresponder follow-up. It can also send notification of any special deals you are currently offering.

8. Distribute an email course. Each day, have your autoresponder send out another lesson. Just be sure that each lesson has quality content - not a sales pitch.

Your content will do the selling for you, and will do it much more effectively. You can include tips centered on a different topic for each lesson, illustrating how your product will benefit the reader.

Include the tangible benefits the visitor will reap by purchasing your product. Make sure to include a paragraph or two at the end of each lesson enticing your prospect to consider making a purchase.

9. Automate a reminder about your service or product after a visitor has completed your course. This will increase the possibility of sales from visitors who have taken your course but are dragging their feet about actually making a purchase.

You can also use these reminders to promote new products or services, and the products and services of your affiliate programs.

10. Distribute free reports. This gives your visitor an idea of the type of information you can provide and the quality of your product or service. Make sure these reports are not sales letters or you will more than likely lose a potential customer than gain a sale.

11. Create trivia quizzes on your site and place the answers in an autoresponder. Your visitor will then be motivated to request your autoresponder, and you will have a record of the visitors' email addresses who took your quiz.

Or create a contest and have any visitors that enter send their responses to your autoresponder. Your autoresponder can be set-up to send them a confirmation of their entry.

12. Offer a trial version of your product. Give your prospects a sample of your ebook, course, software, membership, etc.

People who are exposed to a little taste often end up wanting the whole pie. You can also capture their email addresses when you offer them a free trial from your website.

Set up your autoresponder to give instructions on how to obtain their free trial, and then make sure to follow-up to try and close the sale.

13. Link to hidden pages on your autoresponder. For example, a hidden page could be your affiliate page that contains graphics, promotional articles, and text links that interested affiliates can make use of.

Inform visitors that they may have free access to your affiliate page by simply requesting your autoresponder. You will then gather a list of visitors who may be interested in becoming your affiliates.

14. Use an autoresponder on your order page. Post a request form for visitors to be notified of special offers or discounts in the future.

This creates a very effective mailing list that contains the names of people who are already your customers.

How to Learn the Greatest Copywriting Skill

The most powerful skill you can have as a copywriter is getting inside your prospects head and talking to them in their language. When you do that, and do it well, they’ll listen to you. When you’re talking to them about their most pressing problems, their most dire needs, and deepest desires…in their language…magic happens.

I’ll tell you exactly how to do that. But first…

You should know it’s not something you read about and then do. If you want to be the best, you must learn how to get to know your markets. In short, you must learn about people.

You’ll need to cultivate and develop a skill that many people lack. It’s the bane of many wives and girlfriends around the world. I’ll show you…

“Honey? Did you remember to make that phone call, today?”

“Honey. Did you make the call?”

“…huh?”

“I SAID…did you make the call?”

“…ummm, who was I suppose to call, again?”

That’s right! Listening. Simply listening to what others say. It’s not hard to do. Most people hear the things “they” want to hear very well, everyday. It’s just a matter of consciously focusing…and perhaps having a bit more courtesy. So just…

Pay attention!

Developing this one skill will serve you very well from now on. But for now you’ll be using it to become a better copywriter. And the more you listen, and less you talk, the more you’ll learn about people. After all, people are your market.

Power Copy Tip #1: Talk to people you know about things they buy. Don’t interview them because it’ll change the way they think. Millions of people do this every single day. I mean…talk to each other about things they buy, want to buy, or recently bought. So just engage them about it.

Pay very close attention to their emotions. Are there any specific benefits about a product that elicits strong emotions? Is there anything they hate about a product? Pay attention to “how” they say things. What words do they use?

Power Copy Tip #2: Talk to strangers. Just engage them in a friendly way and LISTEN to what they have to say. Ask them about something you’re writing about. The product or product ‘category’. Or be direct about it.

Tell them you’re writing about a particular product and ask for their opinions and feelings about the product. Then say nothing. Most people LOVE talking about their feelings, opinions, attitudes, etc. You’ll be surprised at how little you really need to say. Just touch a warm or hot button and stand back! You’ll get an earful.

And then…LISTEN.

The words, the expressions, the feelings, etc. Hey, this is excellent research you’ll be doing.

Power Copy Tip #3: Pop culture is your friend. So let it tell you as much as possible about people and your markets. If you’re researching a particular market try to find some excellent places where they gather. Like…magazines, Google them and go to their web hubs…the places they go for news about their common interest.

Then dig in! Look for topics, themes, or stories that appear more than once. If it appears more than once then you know it’s something important. Keep a sharp eye out for “their language”. You know the drill…their problems, hopes, fears, desires, etc.

Have you ever been told to find your niche? With an online business, finding your niche will be your most important Internet marketing strategy.

Getting your website to the top of search engine listings is an important key to bringing more traffic to your website and more traffic means more money. One of the easiest ways to do this is via highly targeted niche marketing. Highly targeted niche marketing can be attained either through marketing to your niche by using longer, less searched for key phrases or by marketing to sub-niches within your niche.

An easy way to get started using a more targeted niche marketing strategy is to research three and four word length key phrases that are particular to your website’s niche and are not being strongly competed for already in the search engines. Remember, the lower the competition, the higher your website will rank by default in the search engines.

Once you have actually found a profitable niche you will need to decide what kind of business plan you want to implement into your niche marketing campaign. Many prefer to market products that are made by others but are related to their niche. They may do this by creating affiliate websites where they promote the product and then send the buyer to the vendor’s site through a link on one of their web pages. Grow Your List with an Effective Client-Capturing Device

You may have heard the saying that "the gold is in your list" for your online business. I've found that to be the case, despite any number of social marketing techniques like blogging, MySpace, etc. It's always extremely helpful to have a list of people to whom you can market.

How do you develop that list and keep adding people to it? You create a client-capturing device. A client-capturing device is a free giveaway that is of value to your target market and serves as a solution to a big problem that challenges your target market.

Once upon a time, the offer for a free ezine was sufficient to capture a visitor's contact info. Alas, that is no longer the case, so you have to up the ante and provide even greater value to your visitor. Your client capturing device can take any of several formats -- an ebook, a recording of a teleclass, a 6- part ecourse, a short downloadable video.

Here is a list of 8 qualities that your free giveaway must contain in order to capture the most clients:

1. Compelling title. Make sure the title of your client-capturing contains a solution to a major problem with which your target market struggles. My title strategy is to use a number and a solution, like 5 Secrets to.... or 7 Mistakes Made By.... When your visitor sees the title, you want him to think, "I've got to get that!"

2. Benefit to visitor. In addition to your compelling title, create 3-4 sentences to describe the content of your client-capturing device. Making an offer is not enough -- you need to convince your visitor that you have the perfect solution to his problem and that he can get that solution very quickly by providing his name and email address to you.

3. Graphic enhancement. A picture is worth a thousand words, and people like to "see" what they're getting. Have a cover or graphic image of your giveaway created that matches the look and feel of your website or blog.

4. Format. You want your client-capturing device to be as easy to use as possible. Therefore, if you're giving away an ebook or special report, create a PDF file that anyone can download and open. If it's an audio file, save it in mp3 format, which can be opened by any audio player. If you want to share videos, embed them into your site using a player that is compatible across both the PC and Mac platforms.

5. Relevant and useful content. Don't hold back in your giveaway. Provide a complete solution to your visitor that can be implemented immediately. Limit the amount of upselling that you do in the content, and save the bulk of that for any followup autoresponders that the visitor receives.

6. More information. Create a page with all the pertinent info about your giveaway. Some visitors will request their copy of your giveaway immediately when they see the offer on your opt-in form, while others will require a bit more convincing.

7. Testimonials. What have previous users said about your download? Add to the excitement and the desire of getting your giveaway by listing how beneficial others have found your information.

8. Put a price on it. To accentuate the value of your giveaway, put a price on it. Make it reasonable for your target market and not completely outrageous. If it sounds too good to be true, most visitors will believe just that and leave your site without requesting your giveaway.

In whatever form it might take, your client capturing device needs to provide some solid information to help your target market solve a pressing problem and not simply be a piece of fluff that advertises your business. If your giveaway is all fluff and no substance, you will have lost this prospective customer for good.

Why Article Marketing Is Still The Best Internet Advertising

Let's talk about article marketing for a minute. I want to discuss a question I have all of the time. What is the best internet advertising? We all only have so much time and money to put into our internet businesses. Internet newbies have it even tougher. Remember this, we were all new to internet marketing at one time or another.

When a new person first gets started trying to make money online the learning curve is almost overwhelming. This is especially true if you work a full time job and have other things going on in your life. Prioritizing what you do in your business can be the difference between sticking with it or quitting.

This is probably the single most important thing a new person must conquer if they are to stick with internet marketing. I had the same problem myself when I was part time for 4 years. So what I did was focus on learning and mastering one aspect of marketing my business.

I chose building my list because I read that the money was in the list. I also read that people primarily use the internet for sending and receiving email and for researching information.

So I concentrated on article marketing and driving traffic to my home page. Then I would capture contact info and follow up via my Aweber autoresponder. This is the same system I use today, except that my article marketing efforts are even more intense.

Learning to write is the most important skill you can have because you or someone in your company will be doing a lot of writing.

If you can not, or will not write, then hire a quality ghost writer to do it for you. We started our article writer service for people like you. We have even began to develop it into a service I call "Hands Off Article Marketing" which really covers not only writing your article, but also getting it out where people can see it.

This is the best internet advertising in my opinion. I do all kinds of things now. Most of them are free, or nearly free, and are designed to provide search engine bait, and potential long term traffic. That is why I do not do pay per click advertising. PPC is great for immediate traffic, but you always have to do it to get traffic tomorrow and beyond.

Same thing with traffic exchanges and safelists. You are trying to brand yourself and build a list if you do it right. But the minute you do not buy credits or surf pages you have no advertising. I have learned that when it comes to internet advertising if you are standing still you are really going backwards.

Blogging is great use of articles. Social bookmarking is as well. You can get excellent traffic from your blog. Blog Rush is one way to do that. Just putting their widget on your blog in a prominent place can get you traffic when your blog posts are shown on other people's blogs.

But you still have to write blog articles, post them, ping your post, and social bookmark your articles to get traffic from a blog.

Here is my own 4 step system for article marketing.

1. Write an article of 400 words or so.

2. Post it in my WordPress blog which will ping for me and contains a nice plugin for social bookmarking my article.

3. Bookmark my post to OnlyWire.com, Google Bookmarks, Yahoo, Digg, Stumbleupon, Netscape, and a couple of others if I have time.

4. Submit an article several times a month to Submit Your Article where I rewrite it in 20 minutes into hundreds of unique versions. Each one is then submitted for me to hundreds of directories who all get a unique version of it.

This is a very well rounded approach to article marketing. Of course learning to write the articles to target specific keyword phrases is a big key and that is where an article marketing company can help. They can write targeted articles for you and even do the marketing so you get the full benefit from them.

You get all of the glory because you get 100% copyright for that article. Put your name on it as your own and start branding yourself as an expert in your niche.

So whether you like article marketing, email marketing, forum marketing, traffic exchanges, safelists, pay per click, classified ads, ezine advertising, blogging, social bookmarking, etc. pick one and focus on it until you are having success.

How To Use Google Adwords Keywords

The proper use of your Google Adwords Keywords is essential to successfully running your own pay per click campaign.

Of course there are other factors to consider such as the wording of your advertisement, the effectiveness of your landing page and, not least, the quality and price of the product or service you are offering.

But, even those things pale in significance beside the need to organise your Google Adwords Keywords effectively. By choosing the best keywords and using them in appropriate ad groups you will be able to target the customers you want.

Choose an inappropriate or irrelevant batch of Google Adwords Keywords and your new pay per click campaign is doomed before it even begins.

But, before we look at how to use your list of keywords that list needs to be drawn up. The first step here is to review the content of your website noting down the keywords which best describe each facet of your online business.

An important point to note here is that a keyword can be either singular, a combination of more than one word or a whole phrase. This first group of Google Adwords Keywords then needs to be expanded.

An easy way to do this is to feed each of your current keywords into the Keyword Suggestion Tool on Google's site.

The tool will provide further suggestions to increase your Google Adwords Keywords list and you will soon see the number of keywords in your list expand and multiply. Quite soon you will have an almost overwhelming list of relevant and not so relevant keywords.

This list then needs to be stripped of all irrelevant words and phrases though take care to retain appropriate words to use in your negative keyword list. Armed with your final list of Google Adwords Keywords you are now ready to begin the process of grouping your keywords into the three categories of ‘Broad', ‘Phrase' and ‘Exact' matches.

Once each category list is fully populated you then need to group your Google Adwords Keywords into ad groups for each pay per click campaign you are running remembering that the success of each campaign will depend on the creative use of different ad groups and advertisements within that campaign.

The bottom line here is that sorting your lists of Google Adwords Keywords into appropriate ad groups is the fundamental factor behind creating a successful pay per click campaign.

The Four Keys to Successful Advertising

Getting the word out about your product or service can be a frustrating process. Spending a lot of money on advertising that doesn't elicit a response can be very disheartening to the beginning internet marketer.

That is why one should always check four major points when building any advertising campaign.

4 - Finally you have to remember to keep running your ads frequently. Repetition is the way to having your name or product remembered. Studies have shown that people don't always even notice and respond to any given advertisement until they have seen it between seven and twelve times.

Just like the major product companies like automobiles, carbonated drinks and fast food restaurants you have to keep your name in front of the people. It doesn't matter that you are a world famous product, if your name and advertising doesn't keep reminding people to purchase then sales will fall!

Affiliate Window is an UK based affiliate network which offers top brand companies and good commission rates. Pays once a month and has excellent stats.

Savvy affiliate marketers know promoting in other countries can be much easier than promoting in the American market place. Mainly because these other countries haven't become saturated with online marketers, little competition means more sales.

5. Amazon (www.amazon.com)

Amazon is another excellent affiliate network to join if you want to sell products from your site or blog. Amazon has excellent stats and the links are very easy to create and place on your web pages.

You also have the option of creating your own store with Amazon aStores. Amazon also now has context link ads and Widgets!

Commission rates are somewhat lower than the other networks but making sales thru Amazon is much, much easier. You will make more sales mainly because Amazon is a well known and trusted online company. Amazon now pays monthly.

6. Shareasale (www.shareasale.com)

Shareasale is yet another easy system to work with good stats and simple to create links. With 1,700+ merchants to choose from, Shareasale is another good affiliate network to promote.

The control panel is easy to use and the reporting is very good. Usually pays the month following your sales.

7. Google (www.google.com/adsense/)

Many won't think of Google as an Affiliate network but it does run affiliate products thru its Adsense program. Very few products but like everything from Google it is professionally run and top caliber all the way.

Please note, top marketers know affiliate links/products on their content pages will return 10 times what Google Adsense will give them. However, these marketers will also know using Google Adsense on less targeted pages throughout your sites or blogs will give you a healthy return.

Besides receiving that monthly check from a multi-billion dollar company like Google will put a smile on your face every time.

8. LinkConnector (www.linkconnector.com)

LinkConnector is a relatively new affiliate network which launched in 2004. It has Pay Per Click, Pay Per Sale and Pay Per Lead. Good stats and reporting. Worth checking out for their different types of new affiliate technology such as Direct Linking which passes pagerank along to the merchant's site.

9. CPA Empire (www.cpaempire.com)

Great CPA (Cost Per Action) network especially if you do a lot of email marketing and promotions. Geared towards acquiring leads and sign-ups but does offer other merchants as well. Good stats and reporting.

10. Independents

Individual affiliate deals with different companies which may or may not be listed with the major networks above. Your independent affiliate deals will be some of your most lucrative since you can sometimes work out separate private commission rates and bonuses. Aim for residual income here. Don't ignore this aspect of affiliate marketing as it will pay the highest dividends.

Keep in mind, all the above affiliate networks are middlemen, they come between you and the merchant you're promoting. For affiliates with a proven track record, who have shown they can deliver the customers and sales, a private deal cutting out the middleman/fees can prove very beneficial for both parties. If you're fortunate enough to become known as a super affiliate, these private deals will become more common and more profitable.

Professional affiliate marketers use all of the above networks to create multiple income streams from their marketing efforts. In the process, they build a healthy monthly income for themselves and their families. There is no reason why you can't do the same.

If you don't find a niche market for the product or service you offer, you will most probably fail. Most hopefuls who wish to do business on the Internet often market to everyone they can find with the expectation that everyone will do business with them. This is the same as throwing mud against the wall and hoping some of it will stick. They have not yet found their niche market. When you are considering starting an online company, you want to make sure you find the right product. What do you want to sell. What is your passion. What subject or topic do you have a lot of knowledge about. Let me start by telling you that selling an information product online is easier than selling a service. But, selling a service online makes more money with monthly memberships.

Before you spend all your time working on a website and writing up eBooks, you want to be sure that your customers are going to be interested in what you are selling. Do your market research. Start by seeing how many competitors you have -this is a good sign. Read through newsgroups, discussion boards, and chat rooms and learn about your target market customer base. If you already have an email list, send them a survey to see what they are most interested in.

Most internet marketers preach that there are three reasons why a customer will want to buy your product. Your product has solved a problem for your customer. Your product has made life easier or more comfortable for your customer. You are very passionate about your product and it shows in everything you do.

Make Money with Cheap Web Site Traffic

Cheap Web site traffic can be worthless Web site traffic. Did you ever buy one of those $49, 10,000 page view packages that resulted in zero sales? That is a lot of cheap Web site traffic, but certainly it is no way to make money.

It is, however, possible to make money with some cheap Web site traffic packages. You need to adjust your tactics to match the type of traffic. You can't expect to directly make sales with any kind of cheap Web site traffic, but you can give away products.

The key is to figure out what will appeal to the people who are viewing the page and you need to catch their attention quickly. Most of the cheap Web site traffic packages are on sites where the user has some kind of incentive to view pages. Take for example the free online lottery sites where a user is shown your Web page while they are waiting for their next free lottery ticket to be generated.

One such site is Ca$hBreak. By the way, I highly recommend the site if you want to experiment with cheap Web site traffic. They sell 1,000 page views for $20 and they always give you lots more page views than you pay for. The smallest number of page views they have ever delivered for my $20 was 6,000 and one time they gave me over 16,000 page views.

The secret is to use a free giveaway and capture their email address for your mailing list. If you had an E-book on winning the lottery, just think how many people using that site would sign up. There are of course, other possibilities. You just need an attractive giveaway and you need to have your registration form appear high on the page. It also does not hurt to remind the users that they can fill in the form without disturbing their lotto play or whatever else they are doing.

Razor targeted traffic is the Cadillac and always the best, but it is also very expensive. If you can only afford Yugo class cheap Web site traffic then make the best of it by capturing as many addresses as you can for your list and worry about making money later. After all, we know by now that the money is in the list.
